Day 3: THINK: is what I want to say inspiring?
Listen to Arica's Sunday sermon which inspired this series here.
What stood out to me today as I read it?
Take a moment or two to meditate on verse 25:
“You must let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for the building up of the one in need, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
- Today or in the next week, in a conversation with multiple people, I will choose to guide my words to build someone up and encourage someone else in the process.
- (This challenge might require some time and prayer to recognize the opportunity.)
- Today or in the next couple of days, I will choose to respond to a post/tweet/blog with a positive building-up comment that will also encourage/inspire that person’s friends.
Blessings in Jesus,
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who hast purchased to thyself a universal Church by the precious blood of thy dear Son; Mercifully look upon the same, and at this time so guide and govern the minds of thy servants the Bishops and Pastors of thy flock, that they may lay hands suddenly on no man, but faithfully and wisely make choice of fit persons, to serve in the sacred Ministry of thy Church. And to those who shall be ordained to any holy function, give thy grace and heavenly benediction; that both by their life and doctrine they may show forth thy glory, and set forward the salvation of all men; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
