Join us after the service on Sunday, December 12th to hear someone share about their spiritual journey.
After the service, we'll have light refreshments and then head out to sing carols in the neighborhood. Join us for a lovely time of singing and meeting our neighbors.
On Wednesday December 20th at 4:30pm, we will be hosting a time for families to gather together and watch a fun Christmas movie with hot cocoa and snacks. Wear pajamas to make it even more fun! It will be downstairs at Wayne United Methodist in the Gathering Place. Contact Fr. Bo or Lilly with questions.
Join us for a candlelight Christmas Eve service at our regular service time of 4pm. Children will be able to participate in a procession with the creche items, and during the sermon they will have a time apart to focus on the Nativity and visit of the shepherds.
On Sun 11/5 after our 4pm service, we will continue our monthly series of sharing our stories and have a Thanksgiving Potluck. Please bring a side dish or dessert to pass and a story of something you're thankful to God for in the last year. We'll enjoy a time of fellowship during the meal and then share our thanksgivings over dessert.
Rev. John Chol Daau is an Anglican priest, teacher, and preacher. He travels internationally to share his story, which is also told in the book God's Refugee: The Story of a Lost Boy Pastor. Rev. Daau will be visiting Christ Church Anglican on Sunday Oct 29th for our worship service, and a presentation will follow at 5:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.
On Sun 10/22, we will continue our monthly series of sharing our stories so that we can be encouraged in our own faith and hear how many different ways God works in lives. This time Dcn. Arica will share her spiritual journey. The story starts partway through the fellowship time.
On Saturday Oct 14th at 6pm, we will be having a special Eucharist service inviting God to bring reconciliation and healing into places of brokenness. Prayer ministers from another CANA East church will be available within the service for healing prayer. All are welcome to attend. We are working on providing childcare; contact Fr. Bo to verify.
We will be returning this year to the Wayne Fall Festival on Sunday, September 17th from 1pm to 5pm. We will offer prayer as well as information about Christ Church Anglican. If you are interested in taking a shift at the table, please contact Fr. Bo.
Wayne United Methodist has been "refreshing" the sanctuary to modernize its lighting and energy efficiency, paint, and make other modifications. The sanctuary, narthex, and parlor are almost finished, and the Methodists will be worshiping in the renovated space this Sunday. We, however, will be worshiping one more Sunday downstairs. We look forward to worshiping in the sanctuary again beginning September 24th at our usual service time of 4pm.
This Sunday (9/17), as you come in the lobby from the church parking lot, turn left toward the stairs. Head downstairs to the Gathering Place for our service and fellowship time afterward. In the elevator, select "B" to find us.
