We will be returning this year to the Wayne Fall Festival on Sunday, September 17th from 1pm to 5pm. We will offer prayer as well as information about Christ Church Anglican. If you are interested in taking a shift at the table, please contact Fr. Bo.
Wayne United Methodist has been "refreshing" the sanctuary to modernize its lighting and energy efficiency, paint, and make other modifications. The sanctuary, narthex, and parlor are almost finished, and the Methodists will be worshiping in the renovated space this Sunday. We, however, will be worshiping one more Sunday downstairs. We look forward to worshiping in the sanctuary again beginning September 24th at our usual service time of 4pm.
This Sunday (9/17), as you come in the lobby from the church parking lot, turn left toward the stairs. Head downstairs to the Gathering Place for our service and fellowship time afterward. In the elevator, select "B" to find us.
Please pray for Fr. Bo, Dcn. Arica, and the vestry as they gather to pray for the church, examine Scripture, and fellowship together.
Wayne United Methodist will be "refreshing" the sanctuary to modernize its lighting and energy efficiency, paint, and make other modifications. The sanctuary, narthex, and parlor will be unavailable to us for six weeks starting on Sunday, August 6th. We will still worship in the facility at 4pm, just in a different area than usual.

September 3rd will be the Fergusons last Sunday with us. We will be praying for them as they leave to dedicate their time to the plant in Morgantown, and there will be a reception after the service. Mark your calendars for this opportunity to thank Fr. Jim and Barbara for all they've done for Christ Church.
After the 4pm service on July 30th, we will be having a full meal together. If the weather is nice, it will be a picnic outside. Contact Lilly Ubbens with what side or dessert you would like to bring. This would be an ideal Sunday to invite a friend.
Recently, we've started a new series during the adult education time. Once per month, a member of the congregation shares the story of their spiritual journey. On July 9th, Dr. Steve Myers will be sharing. Join us in this effort to get to know one another more closely, to hear different approaches to sharing, and for mutual encouragement in our lives.
This is the first year our church has not hosted Synod, but we can still be involved either by going or by praying. The theme is Reformation 500 as 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Plenary speakers will be ACNA's Archbishop Foley Beach and the UK Director of Church Society, Rev. Lee Gatiss. Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd in Binghamton, NY is hosting. Synod begins on Thurs May 4th and concludes Sat May 6th. For more information and details for registering, click here.
Bp. Julian asks that we keep Synod in our prayers.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, when you speak, there is light and life. When you act, there is redemption, hope, and love. We pray for the Synod of the Missionary Diocese of CANA East. Grant that your love may be present in our meeting so that what we say and do may be filled with your Holy Spirit. Equip us for our mission in the world as you build your Church. Amen.
Sunday May 7th will be Fr. Bo's first Sunday as Rector of Christ Church Anglican on the Main Line. He will be preaching and celebrating for our 4pm Service of Holy Communion.
Bp. Julian Dobbs will be present for the installation of Fr. Bo Ubbens as Rector of Christ Church Anglican on the Main Line. More details to come.
