This coming Sunday will be Christ Church Anglican's fourth Annual Parish Meeting. All members of the parish are encouraged to attend. Non-members are invited to also attend though you will not be able to vote in any election. The Annual Meeting is a vital component of how we govern ourselves as an Anglican congregation.
Karen Adams is coordinating a potluck supper for us to share. Drinks and a main dish will be provided. Please contact Karen and let her know what side or dessert you would like to bring. Thank you, Karen, for your faithful efforts!
At the meeting the following business will be conducted:
- You will hear reports from the senior leadership of the parish about all that we accomplished together in the year preceding and what we hope to do together in the year ahead. Questions and feedback are most welcome.
- You will see the budget our Vestry has approved for the coming year, and you will be given the opportunity to ask questions.
- We will vote on some amendments to our parish Constitution, the most substantive of which have to do with how the two Wardens of the parish are appointed. Some new additional provisions will be proposed for new degrees of membership at Christ Church. You may look at all these provisions in advance by clicking here. See the current parish Constitution here.
- Two vacant seats on our Vestry will be up for election. Candidates will be nominated and elected for three-year terms. If the proposed amendments to the Constitution are approved, a People's Warden will also be elected.
Blessings in Jesus,
