The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) is by far and away the largest province within the worldwide Anglican Communion. Stalwartly faithful to classical orthodoxy, they have played a crucial role in the formation of our national church, the Anglican Church in North America. In addition to their formal support, there is much we can learn from their fervor and commitment to the Lord. The church is rapidly growing by evangelism and teaching, but they are doing so in the face of a militant Islam from the north part of the country. Opposition from groups like Boko Haram has been especially fierce, and many bishops and other clergy have been abducted for ransom or murdered. And they have yet held fast to the Lord! Pray for our brothers and sisters and Nigeria, that God might continue to win the victory in and through them. Pray for ourselves, that we might attain to their faithfulness.
The presentation will take place during the Fellowship Hour after the main service.
